The Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH), has officially discontinued the manual clearance signing process for students seeking to collect results or certificates.
In a statement issued by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, the Management highlighted the decision as a strategic move to eliminate the exploitation of students under the guise of clearance and to promote transparency and accountability within the institution.
To this end, the Institute has introduced an automated clearance system for its graduates. This innovation is aimed at significantly reducing the involvement of third parties or agents in the clearance process.
Students are now required to make all necessary payments via the Institute’s official portal: www.ogitech.edu.ng, and then proceed to the Examinations and Records Unit for collection.
This policy is part of the broader transformative agenda spearheaded by the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, geared towards enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity in the institution’s administrative processes.
Furthermore, the Management sternly warned students against engaging unauthorized individuals for clearance services, noting that the Institute will not be held responsible for any consequences resulting from such actions.
According to the statement, the decision was taken not only to curb malpractice but also to alleviate the stress on students amid the current economic climate, while upholding discipline and order within the system.
